i bought this cap and i was always told that you need a 1.0 for 500 watts . I have a 800 watt amp and it worked great for 2 weaks now my head lights go dim when the bass hits i would not recamend this for anyone

I have a tsunami 2 farad digital cap and it states 1 fard per 1000 rms so mines good for 2000 and im running a 1200 watt max tc 4001 mtx amp and it puts out 500 rms at 12.5 volts with no problems. my lights never dimme ever. massive stuff is junk I know ive had amps to wires to caps its all junk. I like jl audio it blows massive away by a long shot by far. thank you hope this helps.

Capacitors will not keep your lights form dimming..any brand is like that. they keep the power stable, and the sounds clean. high output alternator will eliminate the dimming. just sucks those cost a leg

I Purchased this capacitor from a local electronic super store & so far I have been MORE than completely satisfied with this product. It has only been 12 days. but the results are amazing. Before this 2 fd. cap. I had dimming with my volume @ 17/34 on my head unit. now I put it at 22/34 to get the same dimming. But on my head unit. 22 is the most loudest & cleanest set up (with all settings too my preference..CLEAN, FLAT SOUNDING, WITH SLIGHT BOOST FOR BASS). My amp is only a 200w r.m.s. with 2 200w r.m.s. 12s. but they still rattle the trunk & get low (deep). from experience with capacitors----- THEY WORK GOOD, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE CORRECT POWER & GROUND CABLES, A NON DAMAGED ALT & BATTERY, ALT TO BATTERY CABLE IN GOOD CONDITION, ALL WIRES PROPERLY CONNECTED (MAKING GOOD CONTACT, & A GOOD GROUND) AND NOT TO BIG OF AN AMPLIFIER.) TRUST ME...
ALL THIS CAN BE ACHIEVED WITH PROPER INSTALLATION & CHECKING OF BATTERY, ALT, WIRES.
note: by capacitoy only had a 3 digit voltmeter.. but I think it's better this way, ....example. 14.4
