what does the input selector switch do? I'm assuming that it allows you to use one set of rcas and run all channels with one set. like the hifonics 4 channel amp i have
The input switch is marked with 3 positions. Each switch is marked as to the number of RCA's that are used in the wiring of the amp. 1 pair RCA will run the entire amp, 2 pair RCA runs front, rear & sub, 3 pair RCA run front, rear & sub
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and retain the OE UConnect head unit. I have a set of Massive Audio line out converters on hand but would using the on board line converter be any better?
Do not use any "outboard" line converters on the BP1500.5 as it has it's own built in. When you use direct speaker levels into amp RCA inputs "NO" amp turn on lead is needed. The BP1500.5 has ATO (auto turn on/off) The 12V turn on terminal will now be a "switched" 12V output to turn on any other amp or lighting system used.
