All “EDGE” Series Amplifiers use famous Nano Block Military speck circuit board and “N” drive MOSFET power supplies to insure performance but they now have several new cutting edge features like RCA inputs that can take RCA or Speaker levels at up to 10 Volts in! This built in money saving OEM line converter is found in every “EDGE” model, and each E4 model uses a DC off set music sensing system to activate the ATO (Auto Turn On). Other new precision audio features found in all mono models include, an adjustable 1 band parametric EQ with up to 12 Db bass boost, a switchable 12V Out terminal, a preparatory docking input for optional custom matching Massive Audio 4 farad “Rail CAP” capacitor and on all 2, 4 & 5 channel amp crossovers adjustments a X10 switch which means that “EDGE” can be programmed as a high pass or a low pass at 3K Hz adjustable Up or Down or even Band Passed enabling the use with raw drivers for more output control.
Remember: Massive Audio “EDGE” is Very Sharp and should be played with caution

Whats the difference between this new E4 and the older N4 AMP. i have an N4 and plan on doubling up to another one and 2 - 2 ohm dual VC subs... the N4 can't do 1/4 ohm
They are the same power as the Nano Block Series although the Nano Edge series has new features like built in line convertors, LED logo, RailCap Molex input.
I have the E4. hit goes into protective mode at 1/2 volume, why? The gain is not turned up all of the way and it is not getting hot.
There could be a lot of reasons why this can happen. Input Voltage from headunit, EQ, line driver, phone is usually why this will happen. You would need to lower the gains on the source or the gains on the amplifier to comensate. Other reasons can be not enough power (12.4 volts minimum but 14.4v is best) or your subwoofers or tuning of the box might have an issue that is causing this to happen.
